PURPOSE OVER PITY. WORK OVER WORRY

The Hombre Man

Foundation

HELPING OUR LEGION

Our Purpose

We don’t just sell products for men—we invest in their futures. The Hombre Man Foundation supports job training, technical education, and career pathways for men in America’s hardest-hit communities. Especially those facing what Harvard calls the “Eastern Heartland Crisis”—regions devastated by lost industries, rising despair, and shrinking hope.

“These regions have seen the highest increases in male unemployment, addiction, and suicide—what economists call ‘Deaths of Despair.’”
— Harvard’s Opportunity Insights Study on Eastern Heartland Decline

Why We Exist

Too many good men were raised to work with their hands… and then told there was no work left.

We believe in second chances, new trades, and dignified labor. The Hombre Man Foundation helps fund scholarships and donations to technical schools and vocational programs—so men can learn real skills, get real jobs, and rebuild real purpose.

How We Help

A portion of every Hombre Man product sold goes to vetted nonprofits and programs training men for careers in:

  • Welding
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC
  • Electrical
  • Auto repair
  • CNC machining
  • Green energy trades (e.g., solar, wind, etc.)

We also fund mental health support and mentorship programs for at-risk men in underserved rural and industrial regions.

Who We Support

Below is a list of organizations that we support (with donation links):

  1. Mike Rowe Works Foundation

  2. SkillsUSA
A national nonprofit helping high school and college students prepare for careers in technical, skilled, and service occupations.
  3. Home Builders Institute (HBI)
Provides job training in construction and building trades, with strong placement rates in underserved areas.
  4. Coalfield Development (West Virginia)
A social enterprise focused on rebuilding Appalachian communities through job training, especially for men affected by coal decline.
  5. Men’s Resource Center of West Michigan
Provides counseling, employment support, and transitional services for men facing crisis, unemployment, and addiction.

Some Final Thoughts

“The good man lives for others—not in theory, but in practice.”
– Inspired by Seneca & one of our interns who is an English major (and thus an intern for the foreseeable future)

We believe better men build better futures. And we’re proud to be part of that work—one trade, one town, one life at a time.
